What do I need to run BenchDock?
A PC with Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a USB data cable. For backups and firmware, the free space the backup or firmware file needs.
Screen mirroring uses your local network instead of USB. Connect the PC and iPhone or iPad to the same network and enter the code shown in BenchDock.
Do I need iTunes or Apple Devices?
BenchDock uses Apple's device drivers. If they are missing or broken, the Drivers page installs or repairs them.
Those drivers are for the USB tools. Screen mirroring works through the included network receiver and does not need a USB connection.
Does customer data leave my PC?
Logs, backups and reports stay on your PC. Online connections handle licensing, software updates, firmware and drivers.
Can BenchDock remove Activation Lock or a passcode?
No. BenchDock uses Apple's normal connection and the Trust prompt on the phone. It shows whether Find My is on, so you can ask the owner to turn it off.
Which iPhones and iPads work?
Any iPhone or iPad that Windows recognises with Apple's drivers. Model-specific SMC tables in the panic analysis cover the iPhone 13 series up to the iPhone 16 Pro; other models get the general rules.
Can I open encrypted backups?
Yes, with the backup password. The password is used only to open the backup and is kept in memory while it is open.
What does preview mean?
Phone-to-phone transfer is still in preview. Test it on your own devices before you use it on a customer's phone. Flashing is a standard feature and part of the free plan.
Is the program in Dutch?
English and Dutch. You can switch at any time; reports and saved cases follow the chosen language.
What stays free?
Panic analysis, reading panic logs over USB, cases, the knowledge base, flashing and firmware, and driver repair. Pro is €9.99 a month, including VAT.
Do I need Pro to flash or restore an iPhone?
No. Signed firmware, downloads from Apple, update with data kept, clean install, recovery and DFU mode and the recovery console all work on the free plan.
