What BenchDock processes, where it goes and how to contact us.
Updated 30 September 2026
Who is responsible
BenchDock is the trading name used for this software, provided from Belgium. Enterprise and VAT number: BE 0805.149.884. Support and privacy: contact@najjacomputers.be.
The BenchDock provider identified above is responsible for personal data processed to operate the BenchDock website, licensing service and support. Paddle separately determines processing for its checkout, payment, invoicing, tax and fraud-prevention services. Its privacy notice covers that processing.
Device data stays on your PC
Panic analysis, device reports, backups, exported files and screen recordings are processed locally by the desktop app. We do not automatically upload your phone contents, panic logs or mirrored screen to our licensing server. Screen mirroring uses your local network. Files that you save or export stay in the location you select; manage or delete them there.
If you use BenchDock for customers, you remain responsible for your processing of their device data, including permissions, retention and access controls. Do not send us customer data unnecessarily.
Licensing, payments and security
To activate Pro, the app sends the licence key and a one-way fingerprint derived from the Windows machine identifier over HTTPS. The licensing database stores licence and subscription identifiers, activation and token hashes, payment status, paid-until dates, webhook event references and security or administration events. The fingerprint binds a licence to its permitted PC; we do not receive the raw Windows identifier.
We use these records to deliver the subscription and maintain access (contract), prevent fraud and protect the service (legitimate interests), and meet applicable legal obligations. Access decisions use subscription and activation rules. If an activation is refused, contact support for human review. We do not use those rules for advertising or behavioural profiling.
Paddle collects the purchase details required by its checkout and may make buyer and transaction information available to us for support and administration. Our licensing service does not store card numbers. We do not sell personal data.
Website, cookies and network requests
The public website and wiki do not include advertising trackers or audience analytics. The site remembers your language preference in browser storage. The checkout uses a necessary session cookie to associate a purchase with its licence; the administrator area uses a necessary secure login cookie. Paddle can set its own checkout cookies under its notice.
Hosting and network services receive technical information such as IP address, request time, browser information and requested URL to deliver and secure the service. Infomaniak provides the website and VPS hosting. The app also contacts the licensing service for activation and updates.
When you request a firmware list, the model identifier is sent to ipsw.me; downloads then contact the file provider, normally Apple. Opening an external guide or warranty link contacts that website under its own privacy terms. These actions are separate from local device analysis.
Support and recipients
If you email us, we process your email address, message and the attachments you choose to send to answer the request and resolve the issue. Use the minimum information needed. We may share necessary information with our hosting or email providers and with Paddle to resolve a payment issue. Authorised administrators can access records needed for support and security.
Providers can process information outside the EEA. Where we are responsible for a transfer, we rely on an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, as required by the GDPR. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data. Paddle describes its own recipients and transfers in its privacy notice.
Retention
Local device files are under your control; uninstalling BenchDock does not necessarily delete files you saved elsewhere. Server licence records are kept while needed to operate the licence, resolve payment issues and establish or defend claims. Security records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate and prevent misuse.
Support correspondence is kept for resolving your request and any related follow-up or dispute. Where a law requires financial records to be kept, its retention period applies. Protected backups may retain older copies until the backup is replaced or removed; such copies are not used for ordinary account operation. We review deletion requests against these purposes and obligations rather than promising deletion of every copy immediately.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and, where applicable, portability of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some rights have statutory exceptions.
Email contact@najjacomputers.be. We may ask for proportionate evidence to confirm that the data belongs to you. We normally respond within one month; if the law permits an extension, we explain it within that first month. You can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the competent authority in your country.
Changes
We update this notice when the service or its processing changes. The date below identifies this version. We will give additional notice where a material change or the law requires it.
